How do you catch the media’s attention? How do you weave corporate news into a story that will engage journalists and their readers? These are the challenges the InterNations PR Team tackle on a global scale every day. Our interns not only keep track of published articles about InterNations, but they also identify new contacts and write stories that make headlines. If you’re creative, outgoing, and looking for a challenge, we want to hear from you.

As a Public Relations Intern at InterNations, you will: 

  • learn how to develop press materials, such as press releases, interviews, and more
  • answer press requests from journalists
  • get in touch with key publications to pitch stories, with support from experienced PR professionals
  • learn to use industry software, such as Cision, to maintain a database of journalists
  • help organize media tours to other countries for company spokespeople
  • gain valuable experience in media relations and internal communications
  • work on cross-departmental projects with interns from all departments (e.g. creating a video for the app store)

You meet the following requirements: 

  • university student of any discipline
  • the internship is a compulsory part of your course of studies
  • available for six to twelve months starting in January 2020
  • professional fluency in written and spoken English
  • outgoing and proactive personality; strong writing and communication skills
  • ability to work independently; reliable and motivated
  • experience abroad and cross-cultural proficiency desired 
  • practical experience with MS Office and internet applications
